According to the Tax Administration, its text messages never contain links, and the sender name is always Vero, Skatt, VeroSkatt or Vero Skatt. In January 2026, VAT-related reminders included messages on VAT return due dates, which were sent on 8 January 2026 to entrepreneurs, partnerships and limited companies, with 5,000 messages delivered. Similar VAT return due date reminders were also sent repeatedly during 2025, typically reaching 5,000 recipients per dispatch. In addition to VAT reminders, the Tax Administration sent text messages concerning e-invoice orders, advance notices of possible control calls, notification obligations for employers, and information about the Entrepreneur Financial Assistance advisory service.
