Administrative NewsSaturday, May 9, 2026

Germany has updated Form USt 1 TN for VAT registration proof, implementing editorial changes that remove the official seal field and delete automatic letter statements from the form.

The revisions to Form USt 1 TN are purely editorial in nature, with no substantive amendments to the registration requirements or procedures. The German tax authorities have eliminated the requirement for an official seal field on the form and removed references to automatic letter statements that were previously included in the documentation.

Taxpayers must begin using the revised Form USt 1 TN immediately for all VAT registration proof submissions. The updated form maintains all existing substantive requirements while streamlining the administrative elements through the removal of these editorial components.
