The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has expanded its E-Tax platform to allow taxpayers to file and pay monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) obligations online.
Expanded Digital Services
In an announcement to taxpayers, the IRD stated that the E-Tax platform now supports both the filing and payment of monthly VAT and PAYE returns. The expansion forms part of the department’s ongoing digitalisation efforts and is intended to provide businesses with greater access to online tax services.
Business Outreach Programme
The department indicated that its Client Relations Officers are conducting outreach activities to assist businesses with registration and use of the platform. Taxpayers requiring support are encouraged to contact the IRD through its helpdesk and other official communication channels.
Modernising Tax Administration
The addition of VAT and PAYE functionality broadens the scope of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ E-Tax system and represents a further step in the government’s transition toward electronic tax administration. The platform is designed to facilitate online compliance and reduce reliance on manual filing processes.
The Inland Revenue Department has encouraged businesses that have not yet registered for the platform to do so in order to access the new filing and payment services.
